Connect with People PDF Print E-mail

You weren’t designed to go through life alone. For some it seems easier to get along without people, while others find that isolation and absence of belonging is unfulfilling. Either way, God designed us to be connected to other people.

A Summit is a mountaintop which we refer to in our personal relationship with God even as we help each other ascend to this experience. A Summit is also a gathering or meeting of people for a purpose.

At Summit, our value is to have us all connected in meaningful relationships inside and outside of the church community. We provide regular teaching and resources to optimize your relationship skills as well as ample opportunity for you to get connected to others. The value of being Connected is like a mountain climbing party where climbers are “roped off” to one another. This provides guidance, strength, security, and camaraderie. We really want you to feel the reality of belonging. While it is tempting to only be in relationship to those who are most like us, God shows us the importance of broadening our relationship to those of different ages, groups, and ethnicities. Summit is a multi-generational and diverse congregation coming from many walks of life and experiences. That’s what makes it such a great place to get connected. While most events at Summit provide some opportunity to connect, our Life Groups and specific ministries offer a smaller and more interactive context where you can know and be known: no pressure. Connecting happens best at a more organic, “relational” level, but these groups are a few examples of avenues to connecting that Summit provides:
